Do you store your logs by your fire? It’s a risk!

    14 November, 2018 | 0

Storing logs around your fire is an accident waiting to happen.

This is a major fire hazard; the logs are self-combustible, so as the fire heats up, so do the logs.  And then they can start a fire.  Although they look lovely, they are a fire risk!

The burning temperature in a stove can vary depending on the type of wood being burnt, and the flow of air.  However,  it can exceed 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit in a burner with dry oak.  Stored logs can combust at as little as 200 degrees, so you can see the risk!

Keep your logs in a dry store away from any heat source to keep them in tip-top condition, and to prevent any potential risks.
