Avoid unnecessary suffering to birds and fit a bird guard

    By Joanne Murphy | Uncategorised | 0 comment | 9 March, 2020 | 0

It’s National Bird Guard Week (9-13 March 2020)

It’s estimated that up to a million birds die unnecessarily in chimneys in the UK each year. They can become trapped, or build a nest and get stuck.  All sorts of birds have been discovered by chimney sweeps including owls, starlings, pigeons and sparrows.

Yet it is simple to prevent. There are different types of guards but a professional chimney sweep will be able to advise on the best guard for your chimney, and fit it safely and securely.  Never use a homemade guard or mesh as this can be dangerous. Read more about National Fireguard Week here.

Read more about nests and nest removal here.  For more information or to book an appointment to fit a bird guard contact us today.
